Hi Sheila,<br>
<br>
This is supported in the recent releases of KDE Connect.<br>
<br>
I can't find the exact release announcement which mentioned this
feature.<br>
<br>
The feature was committed to master in August (see: <a
href="https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/0b3d6bee85de52e228b29df6b68b8d8eca1527ff)"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/0b3d6bee85de52e228b29df6b68b8d8eca1527ff)</a>
and I believe it's therefore in the 20.12 KDE Apps release.<br>
<br>
Ubuntu is intentionally slow to take new packages and, as far as I
understand, only takes bugfixes and not feature upgrades for a
particular version. You could look for a backport repo but in
general I would recommend looking for a Ubuntu distro upgrade
which has the package you want (or perhaps switch distributions if
that's the only solution)<br>
<br>
You can also build from source, of course. Instructions for how to
do so are on the developer wiki <a
href="https://community.kde.org/KDEConnect#Linux_Desktop"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://community.kde.org/KDEConnect#Linux_Desktop</a>
. You're likely to hit problems with missing dependencies unless
you try to use kdesrc to build.<br>
<br>
Thanks,<br>
Simon<br>

<div>I have looked on the wiki and forums but at least in
English have not seen any posts on this. When I send pics or
photos in my messaging app on phone, viewing the SMS in
KDEConnect shows unsupported message type and doesn't
display the pics. I have tried sending a .png file
(screenshot) by pasting into the message line in the SMS app
on my Ubuntu 20.04 system and nothing happens. Is this still
a work in progress to be able to send photos in a message
from KDEConnect? If it is something already available, could
you point me in the direction of how to do so?<br>
