<p>I think it does, actually. Slideshows can auto-advance after n number of seconds, and this can use pause and play features to control that.</p></div>

<p>Given that time has no relationship to a still image, if one pauses on the current image (e.g. to look longer at it or do something else), why would one then want to wait the exactly remaining time again until the next image appears?<br />
