<p>I unpaired from the computer and requested pairing from the
phone. A notification appeared on the computer desktop that had
Accept/Reject buttons. I pressed Accept and now the phone and
computer are paired again.</p>

the accept and reject button be visible? The phone is
paired and I get notifications from the phone for a lot
of things, receiving SMS is one of them but in the list
of notifications there is no button for answering the
SMS. Is there an image of this available on the net
somewhere so that I can see for myself how it's supposed
to work?<br>

When you receive a text message, a
notification with a reply button
should appear on your desktop. Is the
notification not showing up? The
versions you use are the latest ones,
so that feature should be present.
Just make sure you don't have any
disabled plugins on any side (phone
and desktop).<br>

'cross' button. I have 1.4.4 from
F-Droid on my phone and the 1.0.1-1 arch
package on my laptop. In the settings on
the desktop the telephony plugin still
says '(answering coming soon)' though.<br>
