Hi Sheila,

This is supported in the recent releases of KDE Connect.

I can't find the exact release announcement which mentioned this feature.

The feature was committed to master in August (see: https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/0b3d6bee85de52e228b29df6b68b8d8eca1527ff) and I believe it's therefore in the 20.12 KDE Apps release.

Ubuntu is intentionally slow to take new packages and, as far as I understand, only takes bugfixes and not feature upgrades for a particular version. You could look for a backport repo but in general I would recommend looking for a Ubuntu distro upgrade which has the package you want (or perhaps switch distributions if that's the only solution)

You can also build from source, of course. Instructions for how to do so are on the developer wiki https://community.kde.org/KDEConnect#Linux_Desktop . You're likely to hit problems with missing dependencies unless you try to use kdesrc to build.

Thanks,
Simon
