Desktop can't see any files using Remote Filesystem Browser

Activating Remote Filesystem Browser causes an entry to appear among
the Devices shown in Dolphin; but no directories are visible.  The
KDEConnect app on the phone shows a probably relevant entry, but using
it:Filesystem expose->Add storage Location->Click to selectdoesn't show
any choices in the box
What am I missing?
