Hi,

I would like to find out how to make kde settings effective for other sessions without logging out.

Here is my case:

I have a general user who is logging on 30 machines.

Now on one machine, this user launched System Settings and created a global keyboard shortcut for KDE component KWin -- "Move window, Alt+F7"

It becomes effective for this user on THIS machine immediately.

However, on the other 29 machines, this shortcut won't become effective until this user logs out and logs back.

I also tried to modify this setting in file directly (this user's ~/.kde/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc and the 29 machines' /usr/share/kde-settings/kde-profile/default/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc)

[Kwin]

Window Move=Alt+F7,none,Move Window

But this won't work either. This user always has to logs out to get the new setting.

Is there way command or option to make this change effective for this user on all sessions without him logging out?

Thanks,

Zaiwen
