hi John,<br>dont know if this will help or not.<br>i use firefox & mozilla for web surfing.<br>i downloaded and installed 'jre-1_5_0_06-linux-i586.bin' package to enable java.<br>my java directory is /usr/java. and created symlinks for firefox and mozilla, [with this: /usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so]
<br>and then opened konqueror settings [configure konqueror] and put a thick for plugins to check for new ones at kde startup.<br>and now everything works fine with firefox, mozilla or konqueror. [no problem with pages that contain java]
