<p>I'm having two issues on my KDE system:</p>

<p>1) Kopete won't connect to irc.debian.org: the server window loops this message:</p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">NOTICE from : *** Found your hostname, welcome back</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">NOTICE from : *** Checking ident</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">You are now marked as Offline.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">NOTICE from : *** Looking up your hostname...</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight:600">NOTICE from : *** Found your hostname, welcome back</span></p>

<p>2) Is there a suggested program for checking my KMail inbox and giving me a pop-up in the sys-tray area when I get a new mail?</p>

<p>3) KDE is too awaesom, I think I might pass out!</p>
