<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV></DIV>I grabbed Slackware packages from the ftp server recently and installed them on my Slackware 8.0 box. I had KDE 2.2.2 but uninstalled these first. I also removed QT 2.3.1 from my machine before installing QT 3.0. No errors were reported during the installation. However, when I tried to start KDE3, the Xserver aborted with the message below. I am also including a listing of my settings ("export"). I have gone through this mailing list and many others and tried all the proposed solutions. I see that numerous people have had this problem but their fixes don't work for me. I will be extremely grateful for any assistance.
