Then I don't have it, as there's nothing between select-all and text-
completion, here.

Tho that's not surprising.  While I have UTF-8 configured here, I only 
read/write English, so in general have some of the fancier options such 
as input-method support turned off here, where I can.  (IOW, I don't know 
what specifically controls it in this case, but it's not surprising I 
have it off.)
