kpat in 3.1.4 doesn't show images

Hi all,

I installed KDE 3.1.4 from source, but I'm using already Qt-3.2.1
When I start kpat, I get
WARNING: KImageEffect::intensity : invalid image
and see an empty widget instead of the cards.

Has anybody an idea what the above warning means?
Can I solve this in a way other than go back to Qt-3.1 ?
