Compilation problems am_edit via cvsup

Just thought I would add a quick note that this is also happening to me here 
(just so no one thinks this is an isolated incident):

My system info:
Gentoo 1.4rc4
Portage 2.0.48-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1)
Kernel: 2.4.20-ck6
Automake: 1.7.5
Autoconf: 2.57
Make: 3.80
KDE CVS ebuilds 

Been running cvs updates daily for almost 8 months now without too many 
problems, however this is one that I haven't been able to figure out yet.

If any more info is required...just email me.
