While trying to compile kmymoney using emerge on the 'stable' 4.10
branch I keep running into issues
Issue 3 is an odd one. and I managed to get the file I wanted to
compile but may have broken everything I have done so far

I kept getting a segfault error when compiling mp_asm.cpp in the
qca package...
I tried several things and managed to get it to compile when I
changed the compiler from MingW4 to MingW-W32
I am on Windows XP

I assume this means I will need to recompile everything I have
done so far, Please correct me if that's wrong.

I noticed that the default compiler is quite a few versions behind
(I tried 4.5 but complained about missing dependencies _time32 in
particular) I do not know how to upgrade the compiler in emerge.

I downloaded the latest MingW but noticed the directory layout was
different and many files were missing so didnt even try to compile
using that. Perhaps I should have?
It appears that the original download of phonon was corrupted.
The question if anyone can answer it please is how is the hash
calculated, it's obviously not md5 or it is salted in some way?

Not sure what to do about this one? Why would the digest
change

when I run md5sum on it I don't get a match on either of the
hashes listed above

G:\kderoot\emerge>c:\cygwin\bin\md5sum.exe

Is it not an md5 used as the digest? how does merge know what
algorithm to use as the digest?
