I finally found it.<div><br></div><div>I had a hosts file with 2 entires for "localhost" both pointing to 127.0.0.1</div><div><br></div><div>My guess is that starting dbus-daemon --session would ask for the ip of "localhost", get the same entry twice and then try to open the port 2 times...</div>

A good test application is kdeinit4.exe which should bring up the<br>

This could be a problem. dbus is a local network application, so the<br>
application might have been blacklisted somewhere.<br>

Please do the following now: try to find if your AV suite somehow blocks<br>
dbus. If you cannot find anything, try to disable your AV completely<br>
(even if you must disconnect from the net for that).<br>
<br>
If you have the time again, you can also come on IRC (you just must wait<br>
a little bit longer ;-)).<br>
