Hi, there are some points with gstreamer itself, but definitely this can
be some valuable work since it brings all phonon backends to windows
(and makes it possible to choose).

What I would ask you to do though is to base your patch on the trunk of
phonon in kdesupport, the only place where we can get the patch merged
into (I am not sure there is enough interest within Nokia to get
gstreamer-backend working on Windows) and where we still do base our
builds upon.

About your patch:
- - there are still some whitespace changes (you probably know already)
- - as mentioned above a patch against kdesupport could help us more.

regards,
Patrick

p.s.: I am currently doing 4.3.4 builds, if you have some time left
today or tomorrow and you could get the gstreamer backend building in
kdesupport then I could release a new phonon package which would include
the gstreamer backend.

I'll take some time tomorrow to try it vs. the KDE trunk and Amarok.

Regards
- Chris -
