QuickBooks. With Microsoft Money closing shop, and one of my clients<br>
having their financial data held hostage by a small, proprietary<br>
accounting software that no longer exists, I've been looking for some<br>
good FOSS accounting software. I see that KMyMoney imports from<br>
QuickBooks (though that format changes with different versions, so I'm<br>
not expecting this to work 100%). I also see that KMyMoney has been<br>
ported to KDE 4. I'm not seeing any information on<br>
Windows/Mac/Solaris/BSD ports.<br>

The download page just has a source download. Has anyone tried<br>
building it on Windows? Is there a good deal of additional porting<br>
needed for KDE 4 apps to build on Windows usually?<br>

In all fairness, QuickBooks may be the one app that is keeping some of<br>
these clients in Windows. I might be able to try and get some clients<br>
moved to Linux boxes with KMyMoney, but I'm guessing I'll have better<br>
luck with one small change as opposed to a huge change.<br>
