This may already be in the works or done. But it seems to me that a
grate PR thing would be to have a single windows installer for Konqueror
. Sort of Firefox/IE competition. Again, forgive me if this has
already be discussed.
(...)
If you had something that was, install the cool KDE web browser with one
simple install, it might be good PR and get more people interested in KDE.

It is a great idea! Not only for konqueror but for all kde-win apps.

Possible option would by to provide .exe installer which in fact is net installer for chosen KDE application.

For example kopete-installer.exe would check by default kde-network and install it also with dependencies. Simplistic installer which will install preconfigured app, on the last page of installer we could ask "do you want to install other kde apps?". As a result for ex. kopete, konquror, dolphin could be installed as a standalone application but there would by a submenu in StartMenu "Install more KDE apps".

Advantages?:
- more natural for windows users. One installer for one application
- That kind of installer can by hosted on many Windows-applications portals which would promote kde apps to a great extent.
- Those kde-win apps which already work well on Windows can be deployed faster.
- Also this installer would by nice to put on homepage of any kdeapp.

pozdrawiam,
Piotr Pełzowski
