I apologize if I am overstepping bounds in emailing the list. I'm new
to the kde-windows effort. Having been a SuSE /KDE user for several
years, I've been asked to migrate to WindowsVista for my primary office
computer (ugh). It's not too bad though I miss KDE and it's
applications (Konsole and KMail most of all). I was excited to find
(via Google) that there is a KDE for Windows initiative underway, and
that there is an installer (your post below). <br>

I downloaded the installer and ran it, yet it did not get me what I
expected. The installer's final screen has text about running KDE, but
it ends with "..." and no further information that I can find.<br>
<br>
If you don't mind (or anyone else on the list), how, exactly, does one
use the installer to get a working copy of kde-windows? I see several
.bat files in the /bin dir, but it looks as if most of them have
hardcoded the path c:\program files\, which is not where I told the
installer to do the install (I used f:\kde-win). For example, it seems
I should have a DBUS dir somewhere, but it's in neither c:\program
file\ nor f:\kde-win.<br>

If there is documentation for this, I'd greatly appreciate having it.
I'm happy to serve as a tester for your initiative for using
kde-windows in a 'real world' scenario (that is, as a non-developer
user with kde-windows co-installed with WindowsVista on his primary
computer).<br>
