Hi,<div><br></div><div><div class="gmail_quote">2012/2/12 Abhishek Sood A <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:soodabhi7@gmail.com">soodabhi7@gmail.com</a>></span><br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">
<div class="gmail_quote">I wanted to discuss the idea that while sharing URL in chats if automatic URL shortening could be implemented? Not only shortening of URL I was also thinking if allowing rich text like equations, scientific symbols and processing equations into graphs and charts would be a good idea. <br>

You just have to remember that we're using HTML/WebView for displaying the conversation, so whatever you intend to do with the message, the output have to be in HTML (and later in QML).</div>

<div><br></div><div>Also as another idea would like to know if there are any plans and possibility of integrating kde-telepathy with KWord? It would be helpful in knowing if others are viewing the same document i.e. similar to google docs / MS lync+MSWord integration. My understanding of the implementation and feasibility is little and I appreciate your time for giving a feedback. Also thanks for the replies to my previous mails.</div>
</div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Possibility - definitely. Plans - not really. I actually talked last year to KOffice/Calligra people about this and it's not exactly trivial, still doable though. We have proper "tools" in KDE Telepathy exactly for this, so most of the work would have to be done on KWord and I was advised that it's at least 6 months of work (that was however one year back). We're about to introduce a proof-of-concept with collaborative Kate/Kwrite, which might then serve as a great reference point. I suggest to contact Calligra folks and ask them about this (it would be awesome if you put <a href="mailto:kde-telepathy@kde.org">kde-telepathy@kde.org</a> into CC ;).</div>
