In order to have the AppStream metadata generator ignore .desktop files that are in <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">/usr/share/applications/</tt> you must add an <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">X-AppStream-Ignore=true</tt> field to them (likely to all except for the <tt style="background: #ebebeb; font-size: 13px;">org.kde.simon.desktop</tt> one).<br />
