It's that time of year again when we all need to brainstorm ideas for<br>
Season of KDE projects. We also need you to volunteer to become a<br>
mentor.<br>
<br>
Our mentorship programmes ensure the survival of individual projects<br>
within KDE, as well as the survival of the KDE project itself. By<br>
guiding others, you play a key role in ensuring new volunteers<br>
actively participate in KDE and in making our software the best of its<br>
kind.<br>
<br>
### Time to get stuff done<br>
<br>
Ideal projects are those that have hit a roadblock due to a key<br>
missing feature or the lack of support for a particular format, and<br>
require someone to dedicate some quality time to solving the issue; or<br>
those that need a breath of fresh air to take them to the next level;<br>
and then there are those that require crucial bug fixing or<br>
documentation.<br>
<br>
Not only do you get a chance to break through those bottlenecks, but<br>
you also get new fresh perspectives on how to solve future issues, and<br>
prepare the next generation of FLOSS contributors to keep up the godly<br>
work.<br>

- Implement a KDE Connect-based protocol that would allow KDE apps to<br>
share configurations and data on paired devices. I.e. imagine being<br>
able to configure Tokodon once on your desktop and magically have it<br>
auto-configured on your phone too, or transparently synching your<br>
trips on Itineraryover several devices.<br>
- Create a proof-of-concept control panel for [Home<br>
Assistant](<a href="https://www.home-assistant.io/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.home-assistant.io/</a>) for Plasma Mobile using<br>
[KIoT](<a href="https://github.com/davidedmundson/kiot" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://github.com/davidedmundson/kiot</a>).<br>
- Solve the Plasma-Google integration problem.<br>

#### About KDE Mentorship Programs<br>
<br>
KDE is currently participating/organising three mentorship programs:<br>
<br>
- **[Season of KDE](<a href="https://mentorship.kde.org/sok/)**" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://mentorship.kde.org/sok/)**</a> (or **SoK**) is<br>
two-month long mentorship programs that provides an opportunity for<br>
people to do mentored projects for KDE.<br>

- **KUWoC**, organised in partnership with the University of<br>
Kathmandu, lasts one month and aims to provide real life FLOSS<br>
