That doesn't actually affect git too much though. Files that don't change in a 
branch will have the same sha1 because they will be the same blob (so it's not 
like you're actually copying all those extra files). The git tree will change, 
but it was going to change anyways, and the difference in scale between 
branching a even thousand files compared to 50 is just not sufficient to say 
that git can't handle it. git will be fine. :)
