100% agreed. Sound servers are not needed for the majority of users. Today 
there's dmix and similar native mixing solutions, which do not require 
running a clunky daemon for something as basic as audio mixing.

Users may choose to run a sound server if they really need it, but for the 
most common usage patterns it's just unnecessary bloat.
