Which is a bit surprising, but doing a <code style="text-rendering: inherit;color: #4444cc;padding: 0;white-space: normal;margin: 0;line-height: inherit;">putenv</code> of that variable at the start of <code style="text-rendering: inherit;color: #4444cc;padding: 0;white-space: normal;margin: 0;line-height: inherit;">kdemain</code> indeed does appear to have the desired effect.</p></pre>
