Hmm.
I see in your other posting that you to a "more" on the file for xdm.
Are you using xdm?
I am quite sure the "new session" thing only works with kdm.

On my system /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers and /etc/kde/kdm/Xservers are linked
to the same file.<br>
