BTW, are you sure you need this? I only needed this once because of a bug
in Mandrake. Most other distro's handle xscreensaver fine through:
KMenu > Control Center > Appearance & Themes > Screen Saver

molecule screensaver. That one is found in xscreensaver.

I have the molecule scrrensaver running right now and did not have to
do anything special to have it included in the KDE "Configure Desktop"
dialog. It was just there when I installed Suse 9.2. KDE version is
3.4.1 (upgraded from whatever came with Suse 9.2).<br>
