For KDE or any project which has .po files, we use either lokalize or poedit. Even me too a regular user of GNOME and only uses few K applications. Though I use lokalize for translations, I recommend poedit for the new translators as it is simple and light weight. <br>
<br>As of now we don&#39;t have any guidelines or standard terminology to use in translations, rather we use the earlier translations as translation data base, which also help us in translations. You can also the same.<br>
<br>Mean while I am planning to standardise the frequently used words for localization across any platform.<br><br>For any assistance and questions mail me. <br><br>Since I felt it good to have such discussion ove mailing list, I am keeping kde-l10n-kn list in the cc.<br>
