Hello Akshay,<br><br>It's great to have you here!<br><br>Localization mainly consists of Translation work. All the GUI messages, documentations etc. should be translated to the local language. Please read Chapter 3 of "KDE Translation HOWTO" (
<a href="http://l10n.kde.org/docs/translation-howto/">http://l10n.kde.org/docs/translation-howto/</a>) to understand the basics of GUI Translation (Don't worry about SVN while reading this.).<br><br>We use a tool called KBabel for our translation work. Please make yourself comfortable with that (
<a href="http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdesdk/kbabel/">http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdesdk/kbabel/</a>). There are few nice things about KBabel (like Catalog manager, Dictionary etc) which will help you a lot as a translator.
<br><br>We have a website which is completely dedicated for KDE localization work to Kannada (see <a href="http://kn.l10n.kde.org/">http://kn.l10n.kde.org/</a>). Nothing much has been put up there. You can contribute here if you wish to.
<br><br>Lastly, I didn't understand what you mean by "i wud be glad to do something in the front!". Please let us know about your interests so that we can give you something that you would love to do.<br><br>We would like to hear from you more about yourself, your interests etc.
