Try with Hugin a different projection, you may be able to get a smoother
resolution. However this will be at the cost of distortions. In fact, there is
no "best" projection to transform a sphere (the one centered in the point of
view on which the photos lay) into a plane. Some will try to keep straight line
straight (with the drawback of reducing the resolution), some will try to keep
as much information of the photos (with the drawback of distorting the
picture). This is a question of compromise (and how the result will be used,
i.e. static photo or 3D viewer?)
