Yes, the problem is in Adobe DNG spec about how to handle markernotes. Here
Andreas or Alex can explain better than mine.

This problem is also specific to ORF makernote format which link data outside
makernotes area, as Exif for ex. 

I remember athread with Andreas about this subject about to make a wrapper in
Exiv2 to fix the problem. I think nothing is done currently in this way.
