Hi KDE imagers,

to scratch one personal itch in digikam, I had a look at the kipi plugins
code, and since it was very good to understand, I thought, I might as well
try to create a proper plugin for my itch. So I am writing to this list, to
introduce myself, and also talk about the plugin that I have in mind, and
find out, if you are interested in having it.

Summary: Exporting a picture selection to an arbitrary KIO slave directory.

Now you might say, this is nothing new, I can just make my selection and
drag'n'drop or copy/paste it to the KIO directory, which I have open in
Konqueror. But this doesn't solve the need, that I have, and as far as I
know, it cannot be solved with any of the existing solutions:

Not only flat copying of all pictures to one directory, but also the option
to create subdirectories according to album hierarchy, tag hierarchy,
date, ..., whichever the user wants (and maybe later even in whichever
  combination the user wants).

This is useful for all users, who have an online gallery, which they can
directly upload directories and pictures to, be it via ssh, ftp, webdav(s)
(many "media center" services, like GMX and 1und1 in Germany use that), ....
Besides, it could close at least bug
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98279 :)

Last night I started to work on the dialog (after reading a bit about Qt
first, especially signals and slots, which I didn't know from C++). But
before I proceed (and maybe ask technical questions), I'd like to hear your
opinion on this plugin idea.
