<p>In my opinion, Lokalize is an excellent tool to translate PO
files (spellchecking, translation memories, etc.). Of course, you
can use any other program that allow translate PO files.</p>
<p>I think it's important to know the whole translation workflow.
You can read the l10n howto [1] for a general idea, and especially
the part dedicated to GUI translation (chapter 3).</p>
<p>Hope this helps.</p>

Which page exactly? What information is outdated?<br>

You don't need to register on KDE Matrix server, just create a
account in the <br>
default server (or any other of your choosing) and then join
KDE Matrix server <br>
with it. <br>
Default Matrix.org server: <a href="https://app.element.io/#/register" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://app.element.io/#/register</a><br>

Not sure what you mean with "request has not been approved",
but you are right <br>
that there have been no answer<br>

<br>
The first thing we ask people that want to create/revive a
team is to <br>
translate kcoreaddons, kio and kxmlgui as close to 100% as
possible and send <br>
them to me in private (no need to bother the rest of the
people in the mailing <br>
list with those files).<br>
<br>
There are some old Sinhala files at <br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kcoreaddons/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kcoreaddons/</a><br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kxmlgui/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kxmlgui/</a><br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kio/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kio/</a><br>
make sure they are up to date and correct.<br>
<br>
There's no files for the rest so get the templates at<br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kcoreaddons/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kcoreaddons/</a><br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kxmlgui/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kxmlgui/</a><br>
<a href="https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kio/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kio/</a><br>
<br>
So your first task to become "new team coordinator" <br>
would be to get those files as close to 100% as possible and
send <br>
them to me.<br>
<br>
Do you need help with how the translation workflow works? <br>
<br>
Best Regards,<br>
Albert<br>
