dear albert,

I appreciate the instructions on getting started. I will begin by updating the Sinhala translations for kcoreaddons, kio, and kxmlgui to get them as close to 100% as possible. I will review the old files and update them accordingly, as well as use the template files if needed. Once I have completed this, I will send them to you directly for review.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on the best tools or workflow for handling these translations efficiently. Should I use Lokalize, or is there a preferred method used by KDE translators?

Looking forward to your advice.

Which page exactly? What information is outdated?
You don't need to register on KDE Matrix server, just create a account in the
default server (or any other of your choosing) and then join KDE Matrix server
with it.
Default Matrix.org server: https://app.element.io/#/register
Not sure what you mean with "request has not been approved", but you are right
that there have been no answer

The first thing we ask people that want to create/revive a team is to
translate kcoreaddons, kio and kxmlgui as close to 100% as possible and send
them to me in private (no need to bother the rest of the people in the mailing
list with those files).

There are some old Sinhala files at
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kcoreaddons/
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kxmlgui/
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/si/messages/kio/
make sure they are up to date and correct.

There's no files for the rest so get the templates at
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kcoreaddons/
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kxmlgui/
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/templates/messages/kio/

So your first task to become "new team coordinator"
would be to get those files as close to 100% as possible and send
them to me.

Do you need help with how the translation workflow works?

Best Regards,
Albert
