<p>Could you have a look at the removal of _escape that I applied to <a href="https://invent.kde.org/sdk/pology/-/commit/14897a0274df9c28f9ae6a52337f2d5f5acb83c9">https://invent.kde.org/sdk/pology/-/commit/14897a0274df9c28f9ae6a52337f2d5f5acb83c9</a> ? I found it necessary because otherwise "<red>" would be escaped as "<red>" and not get colorized on the terminal output, e.g. when running a sieve for check-rules. But I am worried that it may have side effects that I am not realizing, e.g. when the source msgstr actually had "<red>" in it before the earlier hl() call that introduces "<red>".</p>
