<html><head></head><body><div style="font-family: Verdana;font-size: 12.0px;"><div>Hello,<br/>
<br/>
because of <a href="https://phabricator.kde.org/T11613" target="_blank"><u>https://phabricator.kde.org/T11613</u></a> I wanted to reach out to the translators and ask for comment on the matter.<br/>
<br/>
Currently lokalize uses Kross and has a few scripts in <a href="https://invent.kde.org/sdk/lokalize/-/tree/master/scripts." target="_blank"><u>https://invent.kde.org/sdk/lokalize/-/tree/master/scripts.</u></a> I am not sure to what degree those scripts are used and even functional.</div>
<div>Do you still use those scipts and do you have custom ones that integrate with Kross?</div>
<div><br/>
>From looking at the code it seems that it is written in Python 2, which is EOL. Also there does not seem to be much development in the last few years.<br/>
<br/>
If there are no use cases removing the Kross scripting would be the easiest solution. If the scripts are still used, I am wondering if we need in-process scripting or if calling an external program from the GUI would be enough. Similar to the external tools in Kate. Or if no GUI is needed at all translators could just call them using the terminal, at least some scripts seem to be able to run</div>
<div>without the Kross module.<br/>
