So, it compiles, but doesn't work? Although some of the fault may be

with MySQL devs, this sounds like an Amarok's problem...<br>

So only one way - revert to mysql50, build amarok, run it, configure it (no matter - 

external or internal db), switch back to mysql51 and rebuild amarok. It will use previously 

created database without any problems.

Wait, after I built KDE4 (and amarok-kde4), I got mysql-server-5.0.90

installed -- not 5.1... Or are you saying, Amarok builds its own

(modified?) version of MySQL?<br>

FWIW, Gentoo seems to <a

for Amarok. And there is a fair share of <a
