Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla at FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-kde (Team)
<kde at FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback:
Bug 272861: graphics/spectacle: unexpected quits – ☑ Quit after manual save or
copy
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=272861

--- Description ---
Steps:

 1. open Spectacle

 2. observe ☑ Quit after manual save or copy (the checkbox, checked)

 3. disable the feature (click to clear the check from the box)

 4. take a screenshot

 5. log out from Plasma

 6. reuse SDDM to log in

 7. open Spectacle

Expected:

 8. ☐ Quit after manual save or copy (disabled)

Actual result:

 8. ☑ Quit after manual save or copy (re-enabled)

 9. take a screenshot

10. save or copy

11. unwanted, unexpected quit (the bug's effect at step 8 is very easily
    overlooked).

Reproducibility
---------------

Please: can anyone else reproduce this bug?

For me, it's probably consistently reproducible.

Thoughts
--------

>From a UX perspective: it does feel regressive – unexpected quits, following a
recent upgrade. I'll not apply the regression keyword, because as far as I can
tell: this is, essentially, a bug with, or affecting, a new feature.

A minor but frequent annoyance, however
<https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=Spectacle+quit> there's no
upstream report, so I assume a bug in (or affecting) the ports tree.
