Definitely makes sense to me. It'd be best of both world: a library tarball of 
all the examples, and the examples being developed along their respective 
frameworks (which ensure their build won't break as the framework maintainers 
will notice it, might not be the case in a separate module).

Problem is finding a volunteer to do the script/cmake magic. To make sure we 
don't loose it I added it as an extra task in:
