Hi all,
Few quick updates: as far as I'm aware everything with asynchronous downloading has been fixed. Also, I cleaned up the code a bit and added more/better comments. Everything has been pushed to gitorious.

@ Santosh - The backend runs the client's local machine. I do have plans to add support for categories, but, I'm not aware of an easy way to download them so for the time being these are "would be nice" requirements and therefore might be added time-permitting sometime in August.

@ Christian - Thanks!

@ Alvaro - Cool, I just applied for an account. I'll commit the code to SVN once that gets confirmed. :) [Assuming I can figure out how without destroying anything...]

Brian
Please,
the three of you should apply to get a SVN account and submit your code to the KDE SVN.

Brian, commit your code to trunk/playground/office/Alkimia/quoteupdater

Santosh, commit your code to trunk/playground/office/Alkimia/quotenotifier

If anyone else has better name suggestions, you are welcome, but let's get the code into SVN, ASAP please!

Regards,
Alvaro

Maybe you should use the 'git push' command to push the changes from
your local repository to the one at gitorious.org see
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Git/Pushing#Pushing_directly
for more details about this.
