<div dir="ltr">Hi Nicola,<div><br></div><div>if you want to really create a framework and you want to have it in KDE you should start writing using the KDE framework. If you use KDE 5 framework is base on QT 5 and it is under development. If you do the port only to QT5 now you will have to do it again later to KDE 5.</div>
<div>For the configuration I think you really need an application that it is easy to use for the teachers to create exercises. </div><div><br></div><div>Bye</div><div>Marco</div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

<div style="word-wrap:break-word">Hi Marco,<div>these days I started porting to QT5, I'm rewriting a lot of things, my idea is to create a kind of framework (<a href="https://github.com/niqt/educazionik-framework" target="_blank">https://github.com/niqt/educazionik-framework</a>) and i'll use the Qt Code rules. With regard to the configuration files of the exercises they are so for teachers, because much easier to edit simple text file rather than XML; <span>However it is a</span> <span>point to ponder.</span></div>

I do not know if that could be a little problem for other programmers that want to step in.</div>
<div>There are also the configuration files: they are text file and I guess they need to have a defined structure for the program to work. It would be good to have XML files where each field is named in the file itself. I guessyou need an editor to enable the author of configuration files to be able to do their own exercise. Also I see that all the string that the GUI shows are also in Italian, but the code does not allow for translations. </div>
<div>How do you think you go about these problems?</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers</div><div>Marco </div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Tue, Aug 27, 2013 at 9:26 AM, <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:nicola@nicoladefilippo.it" target="_blank">nicola@nicoladefilippo.it</a>></span> wrote:<br>

I am the developer of the project educazionik, simple software for primary<br>
school Italian, a year ago we talked about bringing my software in<br>
edu-kde, but I have not yet done so (you forgive me). I can bring my<br>
experience in Italy, side windows pc is used (few linux often because is 0<br>
cost), there are now experimental classes who are using android tablet. I<br>
think the choice falls on android for cost reasons. I think a tablet<br>
plasma would be towed to kde on pc, many buy a mac after buying an iphone<br>
or ipad.<br>

ps. sorry for my previous mail in italian (the haste is a bad counselor)<br>
