</div>There is no such a thing "simulator". You can use an emulator though.<br>

The Android SDK has an emulator. As for the latest release, it runs<br>
virtualised on x86 (on Windows and Mac - it has already been added for<br>
Linux in a previous tools release) for speedup. Unfortunately the<br>
emulator is slow enough if you use tablet configuration. If you<br>
emulate a mainstream-spec Android phone, it might be okay, I guess.<br>
The google-provided android emulator uses QEMU for ARM though.<br>
