Abstract:<br>
As we go towards on the usage of open source in educational projects<br>
with huge deployments, we need to not only provide good educational<br>
softwares, but ways to deliver content among software. A new, revamped<br>
KEduca looks like the perfect application to provide a platform, that<br>
will accomplish this goal, together with a remote portal/repository,<br>
where users/teachers can share or improve shared classes.<br>

About me<br>
When I first used open source software, it was most about servers.<br>
Soon, I got to use as my desktop. After this, I saw the possibility to<br>
use it for educational purposes. I always liked the idea of education<br>
+ computers. Unfortunately, I couldn't always work directly with open<br>
source, and web development took place for a few years in my career.<br>
Right now I work where I always wanted: a small yet innovative Linux<br>
Based company (Metasys Linux), aimed to deliver Educational Systems to<br>
government projects with about 50.000 delivered desktops (netbooks and<br>
desktops), and about 200.000 to deliver by the end of this year. All<br>
of them with KDE.<br>

As an Open Source activist, I went to some nice events in Brazil:<br>
FISL, Latinoware and other local events. The last event was<br>
Latinoware, Where I got to know Anne Marie, Sandro Andrade, Tomaz<br>
Canabrava, Adrian de Groot, KDHelio Castro and others, just to name a<br>
few. After that, I decided to work closely with KDE-EDU crew.<br>

So it would be nice to share some knowledge and intentions before we get to Tampere :)<br>
