at school, we use swi-prolog in combination with some freeware editor<br>

That freeware editor is not packaged, as there is no source for it.<br>

Things would be easier if we could find a way to embed prolog into some<br>
intelligent text editor as provided by KDE.<br>

All that is needed is<br>
- an editor frame (with syntax highlighting), file based.<br>
- a button "consult" rather than "compile" calling a command line.<br>
- a console where you can query the prolog machine after having<br>
"consulted" your knowledge base.<br>

This should be feasible - but how?<br>
