Overview of KGet's Main Window

File Options

File->New Download (Ctrl+N)

Add a new file to download

File->Import Transfers... (Ctrl+I)

Loads a .kget file

File->Export Transfers List... (Ctrl+E)

Export the highlighted links to a .kget file, to be loaded later.

File->Export Transfers as Plain Text... (Ctrl+P)

Exports the links being downloaded as plain text.

Import Links


Import Links
File->Import Links... (Ctrl+L)

This action brings up another window, where you can see and manipulate which file to download. Also you can make a selection based on Video, Images, Audio and Archives. There is also atext box to filter out results.

Create Metalink


Creating a Metalink0

Scelect Between Creating a new Metalink and Loading an Existing metalink. And click next.


Creating a Metalink1

Here you Can choose to enter some genral Optional information. Such as where can this metalink be obtained from (Enter the Url in the text box next to Origin).


Creating a Metalink2

Here you have to enter the URL from where you are trying to download the file. Also you can enter some optional information such as Prefrence (Priority) for a perticular mirror if you are adding more then one mirrors, for the file you want to download.


Creating a Metalink 3

You should be able to see a New window where all your files which will be imported will be shown.

Transfer History


Transfer_History
File->Transfer History (Ctrl+H)

Opens a new window where you can see All the files downloaded using KGet. You can Manage your history here, including filter and Clear history.

File->Quit (Ctrl+Q)

Quits KGet
