do you spend worrying about your problems? Your money? Your love life?
Your kids? Your future? After you finished worrying (if you ever did),
how many of these problems went away?

Most likely “ZERO,” right?

This proves that focusing on what you don’t want doesn’t solve
anything. In fact, focusing on your problems may reinforce your problems.
The reason? We tend to move in the direction we think about most. By focusing
on problems, we may be proliferating instead of solving problems. In essence,
we are getting what we don't want.

This is NOT to say that problems should be ignored. Not at all. Rather
we need to turn the problem on its head, choosing to focus on solutions
and what we do want.. This requires A New
Viewpoint.

Here’s a true story:
A U.S.-based company, who specializes in teaching people to create, took
their staff on a trip to Uganda where they entered a village in that country.
Their purpose was to help the people in it. This village was dirt poor.
The villagers could hardly feed themselves. The crops were failing. They
had no medical facilities and many of their people were sick.

The staff asked for volunteers to return with them to
the U.S. to learn a new way of thinking to solve problems. Several villagers
raised their hands and soon found themselves on an airlines back to the
United States where they enrolled in a creative solutions class.

you work on a computer, you may find your muscles tensing up after a few

To overcome tension, set your computer alarm or timer for every 20 minutes.
When the alarm sounds, stand up from your chair, and stretch or exercise
for a minute or more. While this seems like an intrusion, it is actually
a time saver. With a more relaxed body and mind, you can work longer and
sleep better. (If you don’t have a timer, search out free shareware
