<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I just installed KDE by hand on two different puters. On the second one (WinXP) the installation was a success and all installed programs worked fine.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">On the first one (W2000 sp5) I get a strange behaviour while executing /opt/kde3/bin/startx</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The script runs normally for a while until kwin is started. Then the machine gets very slow and all processing power gets hogged by kwin and kpersonalizer. I also get this strange message on stderr:</FONT></P>

I uninstalled previous following instructions on the kde-cygwin homepage, just in case this has anything to do with it...</FONT></P>
