I'm trying to install KDE after a long while and I've run into some
problems. I've got everything installed but when I run X by calling
"startx &", a X window comes up -- the first time it went
through the KDE setup wizard -- and then it goes through the first few
icons on the splash screen. But then it just stops and leaves with
a blank blue screen. I can't bring up any menus or windows or
anything. <br><br>
I looked at the FAQ and nothing in particular caught my eye. I've
already had to do the rebaseall -v thing (and I've rebooted since
then). <br><br>
I'm not on this list so if you could CC me with any responses, that would
be great. An avenue of approach would be a big help
too. I'm theorizing there might be something going on with the
dcopserver. I tried running the suggesting startup debug commands from
the FAQ and I didn't get the last three lines of the follow the _KDE_..
message.<br><br>
