Just FYI, QCA was the target before QSslSocket came into existence two 
months ago. If its release had been slated for Qt 4.4, we wouldn't be 
having this discussion now.

So, I accept QCA as a dependency. The question is: is QCA an acceptable 
dependency for ALL KDE applications (because libkdecore would link to 
it)?
