KDE switched to XDG shared-mime-info

I wanted to compile KDE4 on my Suse-9.1 system, so I need to compile 
shared-mime-info first.
Problem: it does not work:

update_mime_database-update-mime-database.o(.text+0x1450): In function 
`write_map':
/home/PACKAGES/shared-mime-info-0.20/update-mime-database.c:1712: undefined 
reference to `g_ptr_array_foreach'
update_mime_database-update-mime-database.o(.text+0x2e0f): In function `main':
/home/PACKAGES/shared-mime-info-0.20/update-mime-database.c:2687: undefined 
reference to `g_log_set_default_handler'

I submitted https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10398
but up till now I was ignored.

So I can not work on KDE4 ... :-(

Can anybody give me a hint how to solve this ?
