Yes, in German you need a singular form.

Also, I would prefer to avoid the trailing zeros.
"2.00 hours" -> "2 hours"

In fact, in German numbers up to twelve should maybe be expressed with words, 
not with digits:
"1.00 Stunden" -> "1 Stunde" -> "eine Stunde"
